i have HP Pavilion dv4 series laptop with windows7 os. It has hp CDDVDW TS-L633M ATA Device DVD driver. I have a problem running resident evil 4 DVD on my laptop. first it used to run very well then it stopped . I used microsoft fix to fixed that problem every time I run that DVD, it responded well and DVD started running.
My CD-ROM drive cannot detect CD's or DVD's. I have used the microsoft "fix it" tool and it doesn't detect that the driver is out of date nor does it need updating. I have tried uninstalling the driver via the control panel settings and restrating my laptop to see if it will reinstall the driver automatically but it always fails.
